We were honored to recognize San Diego FC’s Hero of the Match: Sergeant Major Scott Williamson.
Originally from Logansport, Indiana, Sergeant Major Williamson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2005 and completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.
Since then, he has served at commands in South Carolina, Georgia, Japan, and San Diego, with multiple deployments across the Indo-Pacific and Europe. In 2008, he deployed to Al Asad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Today, he serves as the Command Sergeant Major for Marine Aircraft Group 11 at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
Sergeant Major Williamson and his wife, Katelyn, are raising two sons, Kolton and Kaleb, and we’re grateful to recognize the entire Williamson family for the service and support that strengthens our military community every day.
