We were honored to recognize Master Sergeant Fernando Gonzalez as Liberty Military Housing’s Hero of the Match and to celebrate someone whose service and support have made a lasting impact.
Originally from Jurupa Valley, California, Master Sergeant Gonzalez is a graduate of Rubidoux High School. Over twenty-one years of service in the United States Army, he has been stationed in Georgia, Kansas, New York, and Germany, and completed four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is the recipient of two Purple Hearts for wounds received in action and currently serves with the Southern California Recruiting Battalion.
Master Sergeant Gonzalez is the proud father of Zoe, Ava, and Luca, and their family’s connection to the San Diego community runs deep as avid supporters and founding members of San Diego FC.
