Mineman third class Sam Graves, United States Navy, is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is a graduate of Escuela Superior Gabriela Mistral. He has served for three years and is currently assigned to USS Santa Barbara at Naval Station San Diego, where he completed a deployment to Bahrain and was recently named the ship's sailor of the quarter.
Petty Officer Graves has been married to his wife, Erika Gonzalez, for ten years, and they have three children, Eliza, Leia, and Kian.
