Liberty Teams Give Back to Military Communities this Holiday Season

The holidays are a time for connection, compassion, and coming together in support of one another. This year, Liberty teams across the country partnered with trusted organizations to give back to the military community in meaningful ways – helping make the season a little brighter for thousands of individuals.

From honoring fallen heroes to delivering toys, coats, meals, and Christmas trees, Liberty team members were proud to step up and serve those who serve our country.

Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to remembering the fallen, honoring those who serve, and teaching future generations the value of freedom. Each December, volunteers place wreaths on the graves of America’s heroes to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.

This year, Liberty teams were honored to support Wreaths Across America events across the country. Liberty donated a total of 206 wreaths this year, with team members volunteering to place hundreds of wreaths in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives for our country. Members from our Mid-Atlantic team also attended the national ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

In addition, Liberty proudly sponsored one Gold Star family to attend the annual Wreaths Across America Weekend at Arlington National Cemetery, in partnership with the SEAL Family Foundation. This sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to honoring the families of fallen heroes and ensuring their sacrifices are remembered.

Southwest Region Toy Drives

Liberty teams helped deliver holiday joy to military children across Southern California this year.

In partnership with Toys for Tots, the Southwest Marines team, alongside active-duty service members and volunteers from Thermo Fisher Scientific, worked together to organize, wrap, and deliver more than 1,000 gifts to over 600 families throughout Camp Pendleton. Every toy was personally purchased, wrapped, and delivered door-to-door, helping to create treasured holiday memories for families and team members alike.

In addition to Liberty-led efforts, the Southwest Navy team was proud to partner with the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce for its annual Military Toy Drive – now in its tenth year – supporting military families living in the La Mesa area. Community members gathered earlier this month at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, where tables overflowed with toys – from dolls and bicycles to games and stuffed animals. Thanks to the generosity of Chamber members, sponsors, and the La Mesa Police Department, a total of 1,255 toys and items were collected, supporting hundreds of local children.

Liberty is also donating 300 stuffed animals to military police officers in the area, which will be kept in patrol vehicles and given to children during traumatic or high-stress emergencies, offering comfort during difficult moments.

STEP Coat Drives

Liberty supported winter coat drives benefiting Support The Enlisted Project (STEP), a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance and resources to junior enlisted and recently transitioned service members. Liberty teams donated over 100 winter coats in the West Army region, which will be distributed to military families ahead of Christmas, helping ensure service members and their loved ones stay warm throughout the winter months.

Feeding Military Families

Throughout the year, Liberty communities collect food in support of the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) and other local organizations. During this holiday season, teams in the Southwest Navy region supported a turkey drop that helped feed over 300 military families. Additionally, the West Army team hosted three food distribution events this season, serving an estimated 500 families.

Additionally, Liberty’s Southwest Marines region sponsored a Christmas dinner for 500 Marines at the Assault Amphibious School. Team members spread some holiday cheer by handing out jingle bells, toys, desserts, and delicious tacos from Frida’s Taqueria.

Christmas Tree Giveaway

For many families, decorating a Christmas tree is a cherished holiday tradition. This year, Liberty helped make that tradition possible for hundreds of military families. The Southwest Navy team hosted a Christmas tree giveaway benefitting over 300 families, who received trees at no cost, helping create moments of joy, connection, and celebration during this holiday season.

Across every region, Liberty associates showed up with generosity, compassion, and a shared commitment to service. Whether honoring fallen heroes, delivering toys and coats, or helping families gather around a holiday table, these efforts reflect what the season – and our mission – are all about.
