Originally from Guayama, Puerto Rico, Senior Chief Boatswain’s Mate Alberto Cora has served our nation for 20 years. Spending his entire career in San Diego, he has been assigned to four ships homeported here and has completed five deployments in support of operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, and Ukraine. He currently serves with Maritime Expeditionary Security Training and Evaluation Unit One at Naval Base San Diego, and he is also qualified as a rescue swimmer.
Senior Chief Cora has been married to his wife, Lily, for 10 years.
April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, and we want to especially thank their children, Ariana, Anais, and Angel, for the important role they play in supporting their father’s service!
